And then on to Moldova for the UNDP assignment for the Statistical Authority on preparation for the post-negotiation of the Association Agreement with EU phase.

Sports statistical framework

My next assignment is with the Qatar Statistics Authority to develop the sports statistics framework starting 16th October 2011.

National Institute of Statistics in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

I am now in Phnom Penh the capitol city of Cambodia on a SIDA mission to evalaute the Sewedish support to the National Institute of Statistics. We are team 0f 3 and expect to complete our task before the 4th June.

Next mission is to Cambodia

My nest mission is with a team of 3 to make an evaluation of the Cambodian Statistical Office for SIDA (Swedish National Authority for Development Aid).

Namibia Statistical Office

My next assignment will be to Windhoek in Namibia to assess the statistical project financed by LUXEMBOURG aid agency. I start my mission on the 21st April.

Statistical upgrading in the Caricom region is now completed

I am now back in Sweden after successful completion of the mission to the Caribbean and CARICOM. The countries in the Caribbean and Member States of CARICOM are alert to the changing world of official statistics and are eager to adopt the new concepts and methodologies that in the final analysis provide timely, reliable and accurate data about the economies. We wish them well.

Workshop for developing national accounts and establsihing the Statistical Business Register in CARICOM Member States

The final project activity will be the workshop performance 7th to 18th February in Antigua. This activity was foreseen as part of the technial assisatnce in support of developing national accounts and set up of the Statistical Business Register in Member States of CARICOM.
Mr. Jan Redeby will be the speaker for national accounts and Mr. Brian Wicklin will be the speaker for set of the Statistical Business Regster.

End of third mission to the CARICOM Community

This week on Friday 17th December I end my third mission to the CARICOM Community.

The project end date has been extended until end February to accomodate a work shop performance on national accounts with Supply and Use Tables. It is foreseen that targeted support on build up of the Statistical Business Registry will be performed at some point of time before end Februry for the weaker members of CARICOM.

Workshop in the Bahamas

I will be participating at the CARICOM Secretariat hosted workshop in the Bahamas in November. My main task will be to facilitate and move forward the agenda for build up of Statistical Business Registry and adjustment of national accounts in Member States. I plan to make my final mssion to the CARICOM Secretariat in G/town Guyana to draft the final report and ending my assignment towards mid December.

EU funded mission to the Caribbean

I am now on my second mission to the CARICOM and field visits to the national statistical offices of  Barbados, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Dominica and St. Lucia to gather information about the quality and source data for compiling national accounts. My colleague Mr. Madan Gopal Singh has just completed his round of visits to Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada.
